After attaining the highest training in surgical oncology (MCh) in 2000, I have performed more than 16000 cancer surgeries in India and abroad. I designed, developed, and commissioned the Caritas Cancer Institute in Kottayam, where I started the Surgical Oncology department, which is now recognized as the best cancer surgery department in Kerala. Additionally, I established the Surgical Oncology unit at Apollo Cancer Care in Dhaka and at Mission Cancer Care Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital in Kochi. I am actively involved in cancer awareness initiatives in Kerala and have received several awards as the best surgical oncologist, including this year’s Deepika Excellence Award.
